Lauren Dupre, a Brockton resident for 36 years, graduated from Emerson College in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and a concentration in film studies. Heavily involved in HIV and AIDS fundraising and advocacy, Lauren felt that the national media was lacking in how it educated the public on this epidemic. Her plans to make public service announcements and documentaries designed to help stop the spread of this disease changed when she had her son in 1998.  She started photographing interesting objects and people to keep connected and creative. Though she stays connected to causes that are close to her heart, her son remains her most passionate cause and proudest achievement.

On May 5, 2006 Lauren conceptualized a gallery within Timeless Antiques, Watch, and Jewelry Co. on Belmont St. in Brockton. Her goal was to create a space where local artists could show there work in a beautiful space for no fee to them. Owners, Rob Cohen and Gary Epstein have owned Timeless for ten years beginning in Campello and presently in their current location on the Brockton/Easton line. They were both excited about attracting a whole new clientelle to their store and about supporting local artists.

For six weeks beginning in July, Lauren brought in a pop artist from Marshfield to exhibit his work. Tom Zotos worked for Warner Bros. studios in California in the eighties and this was his first show of his original pieces and his studio collection on the east coast. The Enterprise and the Patriot Ledger both ran a feature article on Tom's work and of Lauren's concept of bringing more art and supporting local artists in Timeless' gallery space.
